It used to be the haunt of popes, emperors and whores - nowadays Constance is a great place to wander around with lots of shops and wine bars set against a historic backdrop.

Most of the things to see in Constance are in the Old Town. It is well preserved because the residents simply left their lights on during the Second World War - and as a result the bomber pilots thought the town was Swiss.
