Bavaria's version of Versailles: Ludwig II's fairytale castle is resplendent with its mirror gallery and magnificent bedroom.
The fairytale king Ludwig II left his mark forever here with a castle which was based very much on the model of Versailles. The castle is not complete but is magnificent. There can be little doubt as to the delusions of grandeur of its architect.
