The park was given its present form for the Federal Horticulture Show in 1957. The Claudius hot springs, with water at a temperature of 30ºC, are located at the northern end. An urbane clientele is in evidence on the Rhine Terraces and immediately adjacent in the Cologne Beach Club km 659.
