A top event every single year: Wagner's great-granddaughters Katharina and Eva invite you to see great opera in Bayreuth.
With almost 2000 seats, the Festspielhaus is one of the largest open-air stages in the world. Richard Wagner had it built in 1872 by Otto Brückwald in order to create a fitting venue for his operas. The opera house is traditionally led by a member of the Wagner family clan.
