The cathedral and Severi Church in Erfurt are among the most impressive architectural creations of the Middle Ages.
The architectural creation comprising cathedral and Severi Church sits above the Domplatz. The "Gloriosa" from the 15th century which hangs in the central part of the cathedral is one of the largest freely swinging bells in the world. It weighs 11,450 kg and is 2.50 m high.
