The 67 m high national monument once graced the square in front of the Reichstag. In order to secure more space for the "Imperial Capital of Germany", Hitler had the golden statue of Victoria, also called the "Gold-Else", moved to the "Großer Stern" in the middle of Berlin's zoological gardens.
