Wismar's marketplace, the largest of its type in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, is part of a world heritage site.
At 100 x 100 m, it is the largest marketplace in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. The market takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. An eye-catching feature in the south-east corner is the pavilion-like dodecagonal "Wasserkunst" feature (built late 16th century).
