There is a magnificent view from the largest exhibition hall in Europe.

The Gasometer was built in 1929 originally as a storage facility for coke oven gas. Nowadays, it is probably the most unusual exhibition hall in Europe. Projects such as "The Wall" by Christo make the Gasometer one of the best-known symbols of the Ruhr district.
