The centrepiece is The Transparent Man.
Since the opening of the museum in 1930 the famous "Gläserne Frau" "glass lady" has continued to astound the public. Anatomy, physiology and the themes of sexuality and nutrition are graphically illustrated. There are exciting special exhibitions and an interactive children's musuem which explores the five senses.
