Schloss Cecilienhof

by Marco Polo

This is where Truman, Attlee and Stalin agreed on how Germany would be divided up.

On 2 August 1945, the three representatives of the victorious powers, Harry S. Truman, Josef Stalin and Clement Attlee, signed the "Potsdam Treaty" in Cecilienhof. This stipulated how Germany was to be divided up. Insider tip: For a number of years visitors have also been able to visit six refurbished private rooms of the crown prince couple on the top floor of the central building.
