The new house designed by the architect Daniel Libeskind, is reminiscent of a flash of lightening made of stone and is directly linked to the former Berlin Museum, which was built as Kollegienhaus (staff house) for the Supreme Court in 1734/35. The museum opened in September 2001 documents German/Jewish history.
