Maritime history from the Middle Ages through to the present day in Bremerhaven.

Over 500 model ships and lots of nautical equipment are on display in the main building. The museum's pride and joy is a Hanseatic cog which sank in 1380. Workers at the museum have almost completely reassembled it since 1972 from over 2000 individual sections.
