Jenisch-Haus

by Marco Polo

Former summer residence of the Hamburg senator Martin Johann Jenisch. Karl F. Schinkel and Franz G. J. Forsmann were the architects of the classicistic villa built from 1831 to 1834. The museum with a view of the Elbe in Jenischpark near Teufelsbrück demonstrates upper middle-class Hanseatic style of home furnishing.
