Famous for their labyrinthine architecture, the "Hackesche Höfe" were built between 1905-1907. Today they house bars, cinemas, galleries, variety theatres and boutiques.

  • One of the most popular stores is the "Ampelmann"-shop with plenty of articles featuring the funny Berlin mascot. Apart from its fancy souvenir-shops the Hackesche Höfe offer a wonderful oasis in the midst of bustling Berlin. There is a nice cinema too.

    The Ampelmannshop is full of Berlins mascot - the pedestrian sign from DDR times! The traditional cinema in one of the upper floors is especially nice!
