Görlitz (Zhorjelc, Zhořelec, Zgorzelec) is a town in Germany on the river Lusatian Neisse, in the Bundesland (Federal State) of Saxony, opposite the Polish town of Zgorzelec, which was a part of Görlitz until 1945.
