The center square in Lima.

One block south of the Río Rímac lies the Plaza de Armas, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The plaza used to be the city’s most popular meeting point and main market. Before the building of the Acho bullring in the 1760s, bullfights were traditionally held here.
