Visitors cannot possibly miss Dubai’s most impressive mosque on Jumeirah Beach Road. Based on the medieval Fatimid style of the Egyptian caliphs, it is an outstanding example of modern Islamic architecture: two minarets tower over a majestic dome; high archways accentuate the main entrance, above which hang three heavy iron chandeliers. European stonemasons were hired for the filigree designs on the sandstone surfaces. The numerous diamond-patterned stone window grilles have an impressive effect. The ivory-coloured place of worship, where even members of the ruling family gather for Friday prayer, is encircled by spacious lawns. Non-Muslims can access the mosque as part of a guided tour organized by the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding
I am taking my wife and my daughter in few weeks, and this is where I will go and escape from the delights of this world and contemplate on the bliss of the hereafter. Just want to remind all my non-Muslim bretheren, that crime and fanaticsm is the monopoly of any community including Islam. I can boast, that Muslim as a whole, are some of the most hospitable people on earth, we have the lowest alcoholism, lowest domestic violence, lowest gambling, lowest binge drinking, lowest suicide rate, and highest charity rate.
Allah knows best.
Peace be upon all.
