When Goethe passed through Mittenwald, he called it a "lively picturebook" and this is how the famous spa town still looks today. It is like walking through a picture gallery here. You will find lots of beautiful facades at Obermarkt, in Malerweg and in Ballenhausgasse with the violin-making museum.
