Once the busiest deep-water harbor in the world, today Victoria Harbour is actually half the width it was a century and a half ago. It's also more polluted than it ever was, with 1.5 million cubic liters of untreated sewage dumped here daily, but at least you don't have to swim in it. Crossing the harbor by boat is a must - it's hard to appreciate Hong Kong's modernity unless you can see its skyline in its full glory. You can even go to the outlying islands in a boat, but most opt for the ride lasting barely more than 5 minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central.
