Observe monks at this unique-looking wat
Note the 'chedi' in the name - a chedi is a stupa of sorts, its distinguishing feature being a square base and a 5-stepped spire. Only Wat Chedi Luang has a similar stupa, but it has been collapsed for centuries. But in 1908, a Burmese trader renovated Wat Chedi Liem, and Burmese influence can be seen in the yellow color of the Buddhas' robes and the four lions guarding each corner of the chedi.
