Széchenyi Thermal Bath

The largest medicinal bath in Europe

Széchenyi Bath is not one of Budapest’s oldest – it was opened in 1881 – but it is among the most popular. Located in the northern section of the Városliget park, its extensive grounds include three open-air pools and one indoor pool in the neo-Baroque style with steam baths and hot tubs. A stylistically matching entrance hall was added to the buildings on the northern side in 1927. The whole complex has been restored to its former glory, and a glance into the entrance hall is recommended to non-swimmers as well! The pool is fed by a thermal spring at a temperature of over 70 degrees Celsius (160°F).

Still the same bath as 25 years ago. Old beautiful and worth seeing. For an extended bath day with the children but not recommended. The opening times should be better checked. I found another.
