Arlington National Cemetery has been the burial place for veterans and military casualties ever since the Revolutionary War. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is one of most well-known graves, as is President Kennedy's memorial and its eternal flame. There are also memorials in honor of those who died during 9/11 and the Lockerbie bombings.
