This impressive cityscape was extended by the daughter of the Prussian king Wilhelmine von Bayreuth with baroque buildings and rococo palaces to create a glitzy residence. However, the city became world-famous through Richard Wagner, to whose life and work a museum is dedicated at "Haus Wahnfried".
