Dating all the way back to the 11th century, Ho Van Mieu was Hanoi's first university and the grounds still have an air of academia. Art students sit along the five courtyards and sketch the traditional Vietnamese architecture found in the Temple's design, while inscriptions of past doctorates line the courtyard walls. One of Hanoi's top historical and cultural tourist spots.
