Built in 1908, the Presidential Palace (now also the seat of government) is distinguished by its neoclassical pomp, but it is strictly guarded. An inspection of the interior is not possible; even taking a photo near the entrance can elicit a rebuke from a security guard. The draw for visitors, however, is the changing of the guard, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 5:30 pm.
