Mendrisio

Mendrisio's main town has preserved its Lombard-style medieval centre with loggias, inner courtyards and palazzi. Since 1996 it has been the home of the Academy of Architecture. And, naturally, the star architect, Mario Botta, who was born here, has also left a legacy.
