Scuol and its surrounding area offers a great outdoor adventure and mountainous area. The infrastructure is excellent while not disturbing the nature. The mountains are wild yet accessible by foot, bike, horse,etc. A well-functioning bus system can bring you to starting points for outdoor activities and back home again.
The architecture in the villages is unique, as are the number of springs all over the area from which you can fill up your water bottle on the go. And of course, its a great place to ski in the winter.
