A multi-coloured architectural spectacle.
This communal residential complex, created by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, contradicts every rule of symmetry and rectangularity. Generally speaking the building may only be viewed from the outside.

Hundertwasser was not only a painter and architect, but also an idol of the hippie- and eco-movement. If you want to learn more about him, visit the near-by Hundertwsser-museum in the KunstHausWien (Untere Weißgerberstraße 13).
Very lovely house!
This "house" was slightly out of the city centre, but still easily accesible. It was a very interesting building of flats with a cafe underneath. Opposite, in the square is a mini shopping centre built in the same style as the Hundertwasserhaus. There is a bar, many souvenir shops and the most famous toilets in the world (apparently).
