Created in 1818 exclusively for the imperial family, these gardens were only opened to the general public 100 years later. Mozart and the two Emperors Franz I Stephan von Lothringen and Franz Joseph I have their monuments in the extremely well-tended grounds. Insider tip: Recently opened and worth a visit - the butterfly house including a restaurant in the winter garden.
