Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich had a summer residence built for Salome Alt in 1606. It was later rebuilt by Franz Anton Harrach, and the grounds were landscaped by Fischer von Erlach. After a fire in 1818, it was rebuilt in a classical style.

This is one of the main attractions in Salzburg and because of its beautiful gardens (of Sound of Music fame, visiting in the summer is ideal.

very nice garden, full of flowers, changing with the seasons. A nice walk after a visit at the nearby Mozart Museum.
