A noisy fashionable haunt for trendy folk.
Every city has a club that stands like a rock in the tumultuous surf with a new scene and reputation. For Viennese, that club is Flex. A whole generation has experienced its highs and lows in the underground institution on the Danube Canal. "Underground" is here intended quite literally, as the club is tucked between the walls of a disused subway duct. After a recent relaunch, the club with the best sound system in Europe has supposedly lost some of its graffiti flair. Thus the urinal now has a door, and you can no longer bring your own beer. The program includes electro, techno, drum 'n' bass, and indie concerts -- and always big names.
