Bregenz is in a fabulous location on a plateau which slopes down to Lake Constance. The festival held in the summer is a magnet for fans of classical music. But it is always worth a visit, whether for a stroll along the lakeside promenade, through the historic Upper Town with Martinsturm or shopping in the bustling streets.
