If it’s superb ceramics you’re after, Triana is the place to go; there are dozens of attractively decorated shops; many have been family run for generations. Most of these shops are used to tourists and can arrange reasonably priced secure international delivery. If you’re not an EU resident, remember to pick up an IVA-exemption form with any major purchase .
Clothes and fashion
Sevilla’s main shopping zone is around C Sierpes, C Tetuán, C Velásquez, C Cuna and Plaza del Duque. This busy area is the place to come for clothes, be it well-priced modern Spanish gear, or essential Sevilla Feria fashion: shawls, flamenca dresses, ornamental combs, castanets and fans.
Head to the Alameda de Hércules area for more offbeat shopping, either in the lively markets, or the smaller shops along C Amor de Dios, C Jesús del Gran Poder or C Trajano.
Markets
Sevilla has some excellent street markets. A famous flea market takes place on Sun mornings in the Alameda de Hércules; there is a smaller one on Thu too. The big Thu event, El Jueves, takes place on nearby C Feria, when the whole street is filled with stalls of every description. Plaza Alfalfa has a curious Sun-morning animal market.
