Florence's nightlife has many different faces. There are many students in the city, which overtake many of the trendy bars and clubs. One of the best (and cheapest ways to get dinner and a drink) features of Italians bars is 'appertivo' - most bars, at around 7 p.m. have a deal where you can buy a drink, and get a buffet for free! This is a big social scene for young Florentines, so it's a great way to meet people without being in a dark club late at night. It's also a chance to try speaking a little Italian! Florence also has some hot night clubs - at City Park during the summer, the party doesn't stop until the sun comes up. Don't forget about the incredible theatres, though. Opera is the heart of the Florence.
