The so-called tomb of Juliet is situated in the Frescoes Museum, in the old convent of the Cappuccini outside the walls, a popular destination for young couples to visit.

The Palazzo della Gran Guardia, begun in 1610, designed by D. Curtoni but completed in 1836 by G. Barbieri and E. Storari. The entrance stairway was added later.

It was renovated in 1368, with the addition of a mutilated Roman statue from the "Capitolium", with the missing parts reconstructed most probably by Bonino da Campione.

Constructed in the XV century as a seat for the People's Commitee, it is a significant expression of Veronese Renaissance, for the pureness of lines and the harmony of the decoration.
