Pamplona (Basque: Iruñea or Iruña) is the capital city of Navarre, Spain and of the former kingdom of Navarre.
For Basque nationalists, Pamplona is the historical capital of the Basque Country.
The city is worldwide famous for the San Fermín festival, from July 6 to 14, in which the running of the bulls or encierro is one of the main attractions.
