North Elba information

North Elba is a town in Essex County, New York, United States. The population was 8,661 at the 2000 census. The town is named after the island of Elba.
The Town of North Elba is on the western edge of the county and is southwest of Plattsburgh. (Note that the Town of Elba is a different place, located in western New York). Lake Placid is located within the boundaries of North Elba, as is part of Saranac Lake.
