Rockport information

Rockport is a town in Knox County, Maine, United States. The population was 3,209 at the 2000 census. The harbor is located on Goose River. The town separated from Camden, Maine in 1891 because of a dispute over the cost of constructing a bridge over the river. In the 19 century the town had a significant lime production industry.
