Eppan (Italian: Appiano sulla strada del vino; German: Eppan an der Weinstraße; Archaic (509 AD): Apiano; Latin: Appianum) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 45 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 8 km southwest of the city of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 13,157 and an area of 59.7 km².
The municipality of Eppan contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) St. Michael (San Michele), St. Pauls (San Paolo), Gaid (Gaido), Girlan (Cornaiano), Frangart (Frangarto), Montiggl (Monticolo), Unterrain (Riva di Sotto), Missian (Missiano), Perdonig (Predonico).
