This article is about the Malian city. For other uses, see Timbuktu (disambiguation). Timbuktu (Archaic English: Timbuctoo; Koyra Chiini: Tumbutu; French: Tombouctou) is a city in Tombouctou Region, in the West African nation of Mali.
