Whale Sharks edit

If you want to go out by boat to see some whale sharks, you first have to register at the “Visitor’s Center”. A boat as well as a “BIO” a “Butanding Interaction Officer” will be provided here. The registration fee is 300 Pesos for foreigners and 100 Pesos for locals. You can also rent fins mask and snorkel if you didn’t bring your own. The boat rental is about 3500 Pesos. A maximum of 6 people fit on the boat. You will go out with the boat for about 1 hour. Boat men standing on the boat trying to see the giant animals will, once they see one whale shark, tell you to get ready to jump into the water. Everything goes pretty fast, you all jump in at the same time and try to catch a sight of these huge animals. And especially in the high season you pretty much will. After the whale shark is gone you will hop on the boat again searching for another one (prices as of June 2011).
