The region of Serra da Canastra in Minas Gerais, has some of the most breathtaking landscapes of Brazil. It is where the National Park of Serra da Canastra, the source of the San Francisco river. The National Park is in the process of expansion of 71 hectares to 200 hectares and covers areas of 6 districts: São Roque de Minas, Vargem Bonita, Delfinópolis, São João Batista do Glória, Capitol and Sacramento. The most sought access to the visits to the Park is in San Roque de Minas. Are only 8 km from the city to the port 1 and another 6 km to the east of San Francisco.
