Fall is a great time to visit and explore the natural beauty and landscape of the National Parks of the US.
Visiting a National Parks in the fall gives you an opportunity to enjoy the park on your own terms without the summer crowds bustling by.
Yellowstone National Park in Colorado was the first national park of the US, created in 1876. Yellowstone Park contains the strangest and interesting geological features such as geysers, hot springs and cauldrons of mud bubbles. It is home to a wide variety of native American wildlife such as buffalo, coyote, deer, moose, bison, and home to the grizzly bear.
Another great park is Yosemite National Park in California, famous for its giant Sequoia trees, with its hanging valleys and waterfalls, granite domes and glaciers. You can visit in the winter too when its appearance changes to a beautiful snowy landscape, though some roads are not accessible.
If you are on the East Coast, and want to stay close to home you may want to explore Acadia in Maine or Shenandoah in Virginia and of course the Everglades in Florida
