Hi!I went to Everest Base Camp and was going to Annapurna this past April/May. I can tell you that I found good prices in Kathmandu. I went shopping with my guide though and he seemed to get good deals. I think he rents-out sleeping bags. You can get them in Pokhara too, but you will find a bigger selection in Thamel. this means you can get better deals and will be able to talk them down on the price. It is a Nepali custom (I read in a guide) to bargain. It is fun. You will have no problems wih the weight on the plane. My bag was a bit big, I have a hard time traveling light. I did hire a guide and he took care of hiring a porter. He works with trusted people. I can recommend my guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and most of all looked-out for my safety. He seemed to know just about everyone in Kathmandu and many, many guides and people on the mountain. Because Sanjib knows so many people he was constantly getting updates from up the mountain, or down the mountain. It was great to travel with a guide that has so many established relationships. I found him by chance through a travel forum and then got references from him. That is, I emailed past clients. In no time, I received emails from Italy, Germany and the U.S. singing this guy's praises, so that is how I went about finding my guide. I found the price very reasonable and I liked the fact that you do not pay until you get there, so you avoid the big down payments and the advance payments as well. I was happy to travel solo. Traveling in a group is great, but for sure, you will not get personalized attention. You can meet a lot of people at the tea houses, or as you go along the trek you will become familiar with others "going your way." You can contact Sanjib Adhikari at sanjib-adhikari@hotmail.com. www.nepalguideinfo.com and Mobile No +9779841613822. I recommend email. I am sure he will be happy to provide you with references. Let me know if you have more questions and enjoy!

Title: "a perfect trip…….not to be missed " "This year at the end of february i went in Nepal for 18 days for the second time and i did a small trekking in the Annapurna region, I went to visit Pokhara, Kathmandu, Bakthapur and Nagarkot and I saw the National Park of Chitwan and in this trip I had the pleasure to meet Sanjib Adhikari. H...e is an independent trekking guide and tour operator in Nepal and he has already obtained trekking guide license from the ministry of tourism, government of Nepal. In his work Sanjib Adhikari is a person very responsible and serious, very helpful and attentive to his customers, he knows very well the mountain because he has many years of experience and is also an excellent guide for visiting the cities, the best thing for me is that he loves his country very much and loves his work and always manages to convey all his enthusiasm with simple ways and always with the smile. Sanjib is also a very funny person and after this experience we became a very good friend For these reasons I am very glad to report the site of Mr. Sanjib Adhikari http://www.nepalguideinfo.com/ email-sanjib-adhikari@hotmail.com Silvana" Nepal Guide Info, Sanjib Adhikari, Kathmandu - Thamel, NEPAL www.planetmountain.com/english/.../mountainguides/scheda.lasso? The Annapurna Circuit trek is a dramatic trek around the mighty Annapurna range, a journey that is regarded as one of the top ten walks in the world. The 222-kilometre Annapurna Circuit trek, of the Annapurna massif offers a unique insight into the physical and cultural diversity of Nepal. This Teahouse (lodged) or Camping (Tents Camp) based trek is certainly a 'classic' and is enjoyed by trekkers from all round the world. From Kathmandu we travel to the road-head at Besishahar and then start the Annapurna Circuit trekking. The trek follows the Marsyangdi River through rice paddies, terraced fields and Hindu villages under the shadow of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. As we ascend, the valley becomes narrower, waterfalls plummet from high above, and the scenery gains a rugged alpine appearance. The trail soon bears west behind the Annapurnas, to enter a Trans-Himalayan region populated by people of Tibetan origin, whose prayer flags, mani walls and monasteries are constant reminders of their Buddhist culture. From Manang we undertake the challenging crossing of the Thorong La (5416m) this is the heart of the Annapurna Circuit trek and links the Marsyangdi and Kali Gandaki Valleys. At the top of the pass we majestic mountain views and then descend to the holy temples at Muktinath, before dropping to the valley floor at Jomsom. We then pass through the world's deepest gorge cutting between the peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri and on to the hot springs at sub-tropical Tatopani. The final climb of the trek takes us to Ghorepani, where we enjoy more magnificent views of the Annapurnas. The Annapurna Circuit then descends to the road head, where our transport awaits to take us to the beautiful Pokhara to complete this memorable trek and drive Tourist bus / Car or Flight to Kathmandu.Day to Day Annapurna Circuit Trekking Itinerary: Day 01 Katmandu Drive Bus To Besishar (750m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 02 Besishar Trek To Ngadi (860m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 03 Ngadi Trek To Jagat (1400m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 04 Jagat Trek To Dharapani (1943m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 05 Dharapani Trek To Chame (2713m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 06 Chame Trek To Pisang (3185m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 07 Pisang Trek To Manang (3530m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 08 Rest day at Manang for acclimatization Day 09 Manang Trek To Letdar (4250m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 10 Letdar Treks To Thorong Phedi (4700m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 11 Thorong Phedi Trek to Thorong La (5415m) - Muktinath (3802m) Day 12 Muktinath Trek to Kagbeni (2800m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 13 Kagbeni Trek to Marpha (2670m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 14 Marpha Trek to Ghasa (2012m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 15 Ghasa Trek to Tatopani (1189m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 16 Tatopani Trek to Ghorepani (2775m) O/N Teahouse / Lodge Day 17 Ghorepani Early moring visit Poon Hill Trek to Hille (1510m) Day 18 Hille Trek to Birethanti (Nayapul ) drive Pokhra (1037m) O/N Hotel Day 19 Pokhara Drive Toursit bus KathmanduGroup size Minimum: 15 people require Cost: USD 950.00 per person per tripCost Includes: * Airport / Hotel / Airport pick up & transfer * Kathmandu Besisahar transportation by Public Mini bus for staff and members * Pokhara to Kathmandu transportation by Tourist bus for staff and members * Trek end point to Pokhara transportation by Taxi or Van depend on group size * Trekking Accommodation: Twin sharing accommodation in teahouse/lodge * Pokhara Accommodation: Twin sharing accommodation * Trekking Meals: (breakfast, lunch and dinner) three time a day * Annapurna conservation Area Entry Permit and Applicable trekking permits * Insurance for Trekking staff and expenses * TREKKING GUIDE: One Government license Holder trekking guide for the team. * TREKKING PORTERS: Two members get one porter to carry yours bag pack * All government taxes and services chargeCost Excludes: * Accommodation and meals whilst in Kathmandu * Any activities in Kathmandu * High risk medical insurance and Personal Travel insurance * International air ticket and Tax * All domestic airfare and airport taxes (If program require the flight to used) * Alcoholic beverages, telephone calls and All types of Drinks * Nepal entry visa fee US$ 30 (duration 60 days from date of issue) * Tips and Personal expenses * Personal Trekking Equipments * Rescue Helicopter charge (Only if your Condition requires the rescue) * If extra porters requires * Any other things not mentionedKarchung Lama Adventure Explore Nepal Treks & Expedition Pvt.
