Inside Vancouver

verfasst von AlexW im Reisebericht Vancouver, Kanada

Ort: Vancouver, Kanada

Was kann man also tun in dieser Stadt? Prinzipi...

While waiting for our delayed flight in Austin's quaint airport, my wife and I stopped for a beverage and listened to a decent vocalist and guitar player. Austin is known for its live performances and the airport is no exception. You can see a schedule of performances on the airport's web site in case you want to get to the airport early just to hear some tunes: http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/austinairport/musicartstours.htm Small and very convenient airport in case you want to visit the Texas Hill Country. If you have a choice, I recommend Austin airport over San Antonio (just my pr...

If you are ever stuck in the Dallas Fort Worth Aiport not only will you have plenty to do, but it's probably one of the most kid friendly airports around. For the adults, I recommend picking up one of the Art Guides located near any Skylink terminal. You can see and read about some of the Medallions and Sculptures inside security, and if you don't mind an extra trip back through security, there are several sculpture and painting displays. For more informaiton on the art program and the artists got o www.dfwairport.com/art. One thing I noticed while connecting between gates was the ava...

Yesterday I got an e-mail from a TripWolfer asking for recommendations if he should visit Toronto or Montreal. I sent him this e-mail and decided to share with all of yous.. I would suggest you going to Montreal for several reasons: 1- the unique mixture of north american and european cluture - Is seen in the architecture of the 1800s where you can visit the old town, feeling like you are in an ancient french city, get a "calèche ride" on a horse and buggy, walk along the old port and have a beer or wine on the many terraces, observing the people walking by. For dinner, I suggest a grea...

LAX is not my most favorite airport. It's old, crowded and noisy. Although there's plenty of restaurants and shops, you can only eat and shop so much. There's really nothing interesting to do at LAX so if you have a long layover, I recommend you take the public transit to a destination of your choice. Los Angeles has a web site with ideas and tips on how to pass a day or so. You will need at least eight hours to allow enough time for transportation, visiting and return in time for your flight depending on where you go. http://www.experiencela.com/Adventures/LAX1Day.htm Just be car...

While waiting for my delayed flight in Minneapolis St. Paul airport I was pleased to learn that you can get a cup of coffee for a dollar from the vending machines. If you are a frugal traveller and not looking for that iced cup of frappa-whatever, try the vending machines located in the concourses. A cup of hot joe will only set you back a buck.

A Floida keys is not a single city and this city is a region of Florida. This city is made up of the approximate of 1700 islands of south and southwest of Florida. I came to know about this city when I was surfing on net. As I came to know about this then I think why not I should go there? At this place, we can get the large opportunities of recreational activities. To keep all these things in my mind I planned that whenever I got the time then I visit this major island city. When I told my friends about this city then they laughed at me and give me comment that you are joking. When I came ...

I recently took a trip to Palm Springs, California per a friend's recommendation. It was a great time and I'm definitely happy I went. The weather was great the entire time and the nightlife was fantastic as well. There's lots of activities to do to prevent boredom. I went to this Palm Springs contest website called www.weknowwhatyouneed.com and it also helped me decide to go. I highly recommend it!

Don't get me wrong.I'm an East Coast girl to the bone - lived in New England all my life - love the outdoors, snow, snowboarding, ya know where I'm going. But when the weather channel lumps you into the category "North Pole, Burlington, Plattsburgh" there has to be some kind of mistake...or at least reflection on where you are an whyyyy??When the weather channel says "feels like - 15" it's something to meditate on...back in my cozy warm bed that takes 300 bucks a month to keep that way. Phew.Well, here's to a tropical vacation in Austria next week! ;)

The drive from Northern Virginia to Outer Banks, North Carolina was long, and it was early evening by the time we had reached the rental beach house. My mom had rented it for the week, from Surf or Sound Property Management. The house was the tallest home that I had ever seen, and the exterior had a rustic charm that fit in nicely with the quiet, cloudy beach. The beach wasn't stacked with houses or condos or buildings, and the houses were spread out comfortably. There was a house directly behind ours, and we felt a little sorry for them - we got an ocean view, and they got to view our ho...

I'm sitting at my sister's house, at 3:30AM in Winchester, Virginia, scouring the internet for information that might be useful for my upcoming trip to Spain. I've wanted to go to Spain ever since I heard of Zorro. I have always had this romantic fascination with Spain, and Europe in general. So, after I left my last job, I decided that I had enough money in the bank to treat myself to the trip I've never taken - to Spain. Over a period of several weeks, the plan changed and corroded, expanded and deflated, dimmed and faded, but was quickly brought back to life in one $888.12 moment... that...
